The government is currently holding a consultation on ‘trail hunting’.
We’re pushing Members of Parliament to support our Legislative Recommendations, which, if adopted by the Government, would deliver a full and final end to hunting with hounds in England and Wales.
If you believe your MP should be supporting this new gold standard in hunting legislation, now’s the time to act.
Ask your MP to push for comprehensive change.

Subject: Please publicly support stronger hunting laws in the consultation
Dear [MP’s Name],
As your constituent, I’m writing to ask you to publicly support the principles of the The New Hunting Ban’s Legislative Recommendations as part of the forthcoming consultation on a ban on trail hunting.
While a ban on trail hunting would be welcome, many of us are concerned that it will not be sufficient on its own to end the continued use of hounds to hunt wildlife. The proposed Legislative Recommendations set out clear, practical principles to close loopholes, strengthen enforcement, and ensure the law finally works as Parliament intended.

As the consultation approaches, it is vital that MPs make clear that reform must go beyond a narrow ban and address the wider structural flaws in the Hunting Act 2004. I would therefore be grateful if you would publicly support these principles and advocate for their inclusion in the government’s bill.
Thank you, and I look forward to your response.
Yours sincerely,
