A Call to Action: Letter to Defra

Twenty years after the Hunting Act was meant to end hunting with hounds, this bloodsport continues under the guise of “trail hunting.” Dogs are still abused, wildlife is still killed, and rural communities are still disrupted.

This week, Neil Duncan‑Jordan MP, joined by over 60 MPs and peers from a multitude of parties, sent a letter to The Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs demanding urgent action. The letter calls on the government to deliver a meaningful, enforceable ban on hunting with hounds and asks for clarity on the scope and timing of the upcoming consultation.

Do you see your Member of Parliament listed?

If so, perhaps they’d appreciate a message of support - we know the pro-blood sports lobby are asking their followers to send the signatories abusive messages.

If not, let them know that The New Hunting Ban is supporting MPs who believe in an end to hunting. We’re giving briefings, hosting events in parliament and assisting with letters like the one above.
